Shot these low level aerials a couple days ago outside of Seattle Washington at a park known as Golden Gardens. The lighting was pretty nice (which is rare this time of the year!)

I am a total rookie at editing and this was my first time ever trying to use Apple's color program to do some color grading.

Tabb: I like water - I like aerials. However, I would like the magic of not seeing it done. The aerial shot in Aspen a couple of months ago had me in dreamland, considering buying lottery tickets..

Or, the whole story .. where I can see if you use a neck strap to support the controller, camera mounts, etc. As soon as I saw some guy and an antenna's reflective flash about mid-vid; the illusion was over.

Looking at the setting, I thought it would be cool to follow the bird on a 4-wheeler along the shoreline, but access is likely a problem. Given the conditions, a small boat would have made a great chaser.

Thanks for the comments Jim, I understand where you are coming from. It was just a quick and dirty edit mostly to share with my other "aerial" friends who know exactly how it is done/what is used etc.

Wow - sophisticated gear! I've only read about the RED ONE in Wired magazine. ...expect to see the Hope Diamond on my wife's hand first. I'm waaaay on the other end of the spectrum.

Not even that lens can convince me - I KNOW THE EARTH IS FLAT.

BTW, the heli is a real character - it should have a Disney film all to itself (himself?). Cute little guy but scary at the same time.

If it ever happens, I want my percentage of the profits.

Paul, Thanks! I have been flying for 5 years now and fly everyday to keep my skills up. You never know when the director is going to want you to fly between 2 trees spaced 1 foot wider then the rotor disc :D People really love to see the behind the scenes footage of this thing flying around, and I always get little kids that want to look/touch/have a turn flying it :)

Colin, Just to clear things up the heli is a female......and a Disney movie about here would be great.......lets just make sure she can talk in it. I just got done watching WALL-E and there was little to no dialogue and it wore on me after a couple hours.

The Quicktime footage rocked! It is so difficult to charter an ultralight in Asia for scenic coast aerials.
