View Full Version : Uninstall - Reinstall

I just added CS3 to my workstation, installing while keeping CS2 on my system.

CS3 would not recognize Aspect HD.

I should have uninstalled Aspect HD, then reinstalled for both CS2 and CS3 to load Aspect?

In any event, I uninstalled CS2 first... and now I can't get an uninstall of Aspect... it keeps hanging, either searching for an SQLRUN.msi file, or it can't find its plug in directory (which of course was in CS2)

I've tried a system restore, but that hasn't changed any of the problems.

I'm now reinstalling CS2... but that doesn't seem like it is going to help the Aspect HD problem.

Never attempt these tasks with only one cup of coffee in your system.

Any help would be truly appreciated.... and yes, I'm snapping up on the Prospect upgrade offer. Perfect timing for me.

All you needed to do is normal install Aspect HD again, uninstall of Aspect HD is only prefered if you changing versions.

That's what I attempted, but with Aspect already installed... when I launched the installer, it performs an uninstall first.

I wonder when we added that? Support will help you remove the old so a reinstall will work.

That's always been the case with any version of Aspect for me.

I think I have things sorted out... I needed to reinstall a program that utilzed the SQL installer as requested by Aspect, and it seemed to uninstall just fine.

I deactivated prior to doing all of that... so with any luck, I should be able to do a fresh install and activate.

Almost a moot point, as Prospect will be the means I use very soon.
