Hi all --

Has anyone tried the tripod of "The Prompter People"? Its only $399.- incl. a fluid head. It's likely a Chinese knockoff, but looks very similar to the Libec legs.

This is not really a direct answer to your question but a friend has some of their flo lights and they seem to be a good product.

I suppose the question I have to ask is "tried it for what"?

I could go through that web page you posted and give you a blow by blow on why I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, but unless you're seriously thinking of parking one under an HD camera, there really is no point.

My advice, look elsewhere.

Oh, and cheap is as cheap does.
