It's easy to re-name markers but can you re-number markers once they are in place, such as when you want to add a marker closer to the start & not have it 's number after the very last one ?

I grabbed this a long time ago and can't remember who posted it or I'd give them credit for it.

1. Open the Edit Details view (Alt-6, or go to the View menu).

2. Select "Show: Markers".

3. Click on the blank space that is at the intersection of the row and column headings (in the upper left corner of the Edit Details window, just under the word "Show:". This will select everything

4. Press Ctrl-X to Cut everything. Immediately press Ctrl-V to paste everything back.

Thanks Mike. Seems complicated but I'll give it a try.
You would think they would have this in the little drop down with re-naming markers, let's hope they can do this next up-date !

Ron, trust me when I say that it's much easier to do than it sounds.

BTW, you're the only one who cares about the markers being properly numbered.
If you were to render a video for use in DVDA with markers all out of sequence, DVDA wouldn't care one bit as all it sees is a series of markers.
The numbers have nothing to do with it.

You're welcome to submit this as a suggestion (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/support/productsuggestion.asp) to Sony but don't hold your breath waiting.
I've offered suggestions for improvements to VidCap since Vegas 4 and I'm still waiting :-(

There are also scripts that renumber, both Ultimate S and Excaliber do this.
