Hi guys!

I've been reading in quite a few posts how many people are asking for 24/25p support, primarily for preventing flicker effects in Europe (25p).

However, shooting @ 30fps you CAN prevent flicker in both 60 and 50Hz electrical systems. It's just a matter of shooting at a shutter speed that's equal or a multiple of the electrical system's frequency. The problem is not the frame rate, but the shutter speed. We need to be able to control the shutter speed in order to prevent flicker, even when shooting 30fps in a 60Hz electrical system.

Best regards,
Salvador

I think most of us Europeans want 25p because that is what we have to broadcast. There are some workarounds to covert from 30p to 25p but we shouldn't have to use these when buying a European version. We want to be able to take 25p footage and hand it to a client who needs 25p footage.

The flicker is a side issue.
