This is probably a silly question but how do you capture an individual frame of video in Vegas to convert to a .Gif file? I'm trying to create an individual photo from one of the frames for use in a website.

Thank you in advance.

Vegas only saves frame grabs as JPG or PNG so you'd have to use your photo editor to open it and save it as a GIF.

Change the preview mode to "Best (Full)" and then click on the floppy disc icon above the preview window. This will let you save as PNG or JPG which you can then convert to GIF. For even better results, you might also consider changing the project to Progressive.

An even easier way is to use a script which will make all of the above setting changes, save the image, and the put the settings back to their original values.

try this one Video Snapshot Wizard(Capture Video Screen Snapshots - A Video Frame Capture and Edit Software (http://www.video-snapshot.com)), it can grab video frames and show them in thumbnail mode, and then convert them to animated gif images.
