This is addressed to the P2 Camera and equipment owners, specifically those that have not registered for the extended warranty. You may not have noticed that there is a time frome for registation. Some of you have passed you deadline but I think you will find some generousity on the part of the guy responsible. I just want you to do it, it is for your own good. Please read through the benefits below, and then go do it.

1. Customers can identify the current software versions of their P2 HD equipment and receive advisories on necessary software updates. This is easily done by connecting your P2 HD product to a laptop or PC via its USB 2.0 port and then connecting to P2 Asset Support System | Broadcast and Professional AV Systems (http://panasonic.biz/sav/pass_e) Free Update Software can be downloaded to a PC and copied to P2 HD equipment via an SD Memory Card.

2. Customers will be able to keep track of update inspection history, error logs, hour meter readings, and the service history of their equipment.
They may also download the P2 Status Logger from the PASS website.

3. The PASS system offers technical descriptions of the products, FAQ (frequently asked questions), White papers, Voices of other members,
and an array of Newsletters.

4. Most importantly, the PASS system has the functionality of tracking service histories allowing us to pinpoint potential problems before they happen.
Based on the reported problems, it permits us to proactively act on solutions to these problems. Noting these patterns, we can deploy preventative measures for the remainder of our customer base before issues become widespread. Customers should really appreciate this type of advance concern and action.

So on top of all that, there is in essence a 5 year warranty on the P2 only products. (Sorry HVX200 owners.) Unheard of in this day and age. So just do it.

Hi Jan,

Is this warranty valid for worldwide (namely Singapore as well) or it is only valid for USA?

Thank you,
