What's the method to do this? If I have an on-going thread in another topic area of this forum, how do I insert a link to it when responding to someone on the forum?
thx

David,

if you're using, for e.g. IE7, just open another tab, find the page you want to link. Then copy the URL (the web address in the long letterbox at the top of the screen, just right click on it and select copy) and simply paste it into the DVinfo 'Reply to Thread' box you have going in the first tab in an appropriate place with your text (just put the cursor where you want it, right click and select paste). That's it!

Similar with Safari and Opera etc.

You can check it looks OK with the 'Preview Post' button.

I then always just check it all works OK when I've submitted the post too (just 'cause I hate it when links don't work - so would not want to inflict that on others :-)

The new version of the forum software is pretty good at understanding links, and even tries to convert them into something human-readable. As Andy says, just copy the URL from the other thread and paste it into your post.

But please don't double-post the same thing in more than one forum because that becomes fragmented and confusing for others.
