FWIW, I did a shoot for the group associated with the "Pinks" crew. They supplied DVX100's for me to use. And they had the cameras set on 24p mode, 16 x 9.

I would love to shoot is 24p...BUT wouldnt it be hard to follow moving dirt bikes in 24p

I am gonna fool around with different settings next weekend.

Any suggestions / input would be great... Thanks!!

Randy, I guess I should have said it but we were shooting a pilot for SpeedTV and it included shooting cars and motorcycles at really high speeds (200 mph). I would have thought that the 24p would have been less than ideal for the situation. but I did see the footage aired and it had none of the strobing / stuttering motion artifacts that would normally be associated with 24p. Of course, I had nothing to do with any of the editing process or air process so I have no idea how they handled the footage that we shot.
