Just wanted to post an official, "Hi" to everyone on the board.

I've been working in the video game industry for the last 13 years and just started to do the filmmaking thing fulltime. Currently I'm working on a lot of different things in conjunction with building up my XL-1 rig with a P+S Technik Mini35 adapter and a full matte box with a follow focus set up.

As always, I enjoy reading everyone's posts and experience on this board, and look forward to future discussions.

If there are any filmmakers out there who are local to my area, don't hesitate to drop me a line.

I just redesigned my web page so please check it out!

We're certainly glad to have you aboard. I'm sure that many folks will be particularly interested to hear how you like the P+S rig. It's quite an investment, not to mention the requisite prime lenses!

Ken. Most people would love to hear your expriences with the
P+S system. Good luck with your projects!

What is a P+S set-up and what does it do for you?

It's not your everyday piece of gear.

Dennis, check out www.mini35.com as well. There are samples on that site that are just awesome. There is no way you can get that kind of depth of field with current video cameras setups.

Once I actually get the unit I'll do a battery of tests and comparisons. I'll probably post them as well. Strangely there isn't a whole lot of information about this adapter on the web.

I was lucky enough to review Damian Acevedo's (http://www.indieclub.com/q&a/phreakersqa.htm) reel and it included a great many shots from Phreakers. Simply amazing.

Anyway more info to follow.

Howdy from Texas,

Mini35.com -- now why was I not aware of this site. Many thanks for the links, Justin! As one of the few people we know around here that actually *have* that adapter, I think you're going to become pretty popular.
