This week has been crazy. Prep for my first bridal show, cutting a company high energy Promo, designing a new company logo with my graphics guy as well as a flier handout for the show, some company branding work, and to top it all off a last minute Wedding Highlights edited from 11pm Thur till 7am this morning. This is my first ever Highlights Video, something I hope to be very popular this year. Incidentally, the song used in the Highlight was also the last dance song for my wedding, just a few short years ago. That might explain why I've been humming it for a week solid and decided to finally succumb to my own desire to use it in an edit.
The large version of the promo video is here (http://www.idahodigitalproductions.com/video/promo/Promo-v02-large.wmv) (52MB) and a slightly more dialup-friendly version is also available (http://www.idahodigitalproductions.com/video/promo/Wedding_Highlight-small.wmv) (38MB).
Here is the full size Wedding Highlights video (http://www.idahodigitalproductions.com/video/promo/Wedding_Highlight-large.wmv) (129MB) and the smaller version (http://www.idahodigitalproductions.com/video/promo/Wedding_Highlight-small.wmv) (15MB)
Note that there is a few second gap in the large version because, for no apparent reason, Vegas didn't grab the media file I had reversed (but it got all the clips that were played forwards) when I did this network render last night. The smaller version should have it correct. I'll be fixing that and a few other errors before I burn this for the show.
As always, feedback is welcome. This is two brand new typs of videos, so I pushed my comfort zone significantly on these. I don't know how "elegant" the promo could be considered, because I designed it to be nothing but great shots for use in a bridal show tomorrow. The music is far far edgier than I would use in a normal video production, but I think it shows pretty good flexibility.
Here is to hoping these help bring in the clients and more than cover the $2500 I've spent in the past 3 weeks on advertising, design, and printing. As I mentioned in other posts, this is the make or break moment for my business. Hopefully it is the former. At least I'll be able to say I brought my A game.
