View Full Version : Targt date for full ProspectHD support of CS4?

We've been out of the circuit with a major move to a remote location, so if this question has been answered here before, sorry. Our internet connection is slower than a cold turtle in high heels, so I can't do searches very easily. Not to mention giant Adobe updates...

So here's the question: does CF have a rough target date for full support with CS4 and ProspectHD?

We have a new workstation with CS4 4.01 loaded and itching for action. Before we waste days on unsupported probs, is any of our CF material even usable on that new ws with the current ProspectHD? In other words, is that new ws editor going to have to find other work until full support is in? I sure hope not...we've got tons of work backed up!

The latest estimate I've seen from Cineform is around the end of January:

Edit: Here's a link to a thread about getting some Cineform functionality in CS4:

So I guess basically, this mean that for CF workflow, CS4 PP and AE are out-to-lunch, or is the main issue just mostly with the "real-time" support for PP4?

IE, does the codec work if we render all previews? (I'm fishing for a way to keep this ws and editor working until the end of Jan comes)

I guess I could just load the codec on the CS4, but I'm tired of beating my head against this stuff and would rather wait if it's a loaded gun to try it now!

Thanks
