I have Sennheiser ME67 connected to K6 (battery/phatom). I'm gonna be using batteries until I get a phantom supply. my questions are:

1) how many hours does the mic last with batteries?

2) when I turn the K6 on, the battery indicator blinks brightly once, then stays dimmed (very low). now, in any other device, i know if the battery indicator is weak, that means batteries need to be changed. But i tried different fresh batteries; all the same. is that normal?

I have the same mike, ME67, I usually don't use it for more than an hour at a time, I use a battery tester to check the level of my batteries. I seem to have lost the papers that came with the mike. I always monitor the sound with headphones just in case I forget to check the battery levels, if the battery goes out, so will the mike and I can tell right away if the battery needs to be changed

I *think* it is something like 20 hours.

My advice . . . always get a fresh battery when it matters.

According to Sennheiser, it will work up to 150 hours. However I would take Jacques advice "always get a fresh battery when it matters".

Batteries are cheap in relation to lost sound... replace them on every important shoot.
