My question is, I'm currently finishing up a project that is approx. 2 hrs. and am going to use Dual Layer but, my burner only does DVD +R DL and I would prefer to use DVD -R so I was thinking I could use the DVD +R and when the duplications are done use DVD -R DL does anybody see a problem with this?

Thank You,
Bob.

The reason for the +R preference in dual-layer is bit-layer accuracy; you'll have less chance of a layer-break error on +R media than with -R. If you ever have a duplication facility make mass-dupes they'll prefer +R and replication will *only* accept +R images (unless you output to DLT).

Robert,

Thank You for the response. I understand that ultimately +R is more accurate but, it was my understanding that -R is more compatible with the masses as far as being compatible with most DVD players today.

Thank You,
Bob.
