Anyone ever use an IRiver for recording audio at an event? I have heard of people using them, but not familiar with how they work or how you would use one at a wedding. Is the sound quality good?

Hi Daniel,

Quality is great if you have the settings correct and have a mic element that works well with the iRiver. I use 3 - 5 at every event, both at the ceremony and the reception. After the event I burn the tracks to a disc, a back up disc and to a hard drive for archiving. Synching hasn't been a problem. I've had really good results with these mics:

Omnidirectional Mono Microphone (http://www.giant-squid-audio-lab.com/gs/gs-mono1.htm)

I can't see myself going back to wireless, especially now that the frequency space mine used has been sold for other uses.
