Hi everyone:

I'm selling my CP Steadicam JR.

It is in complete working order and has only recently had a brand new gimbal/handle assembly added from Optex which has probably only had about half an hours use.

The rest of the unit is in good condition and everything is working.

It does have a NTSC lcd screen so I'm asking £390+p&p for it - this is still a fully working unit and I've used it with a PAL camera with no real problem. The screen will display a white band at the top when using a PAL camera but this doesn't affect the ability to use the LCD to frame a shot and doesn't affect your ability to create fantasic pictures - it's worked wonders for me! If you wish, you could also use your camcorders LCD to provide the image. I've had NO issues using the Steadicam's monitor outdoors or in the sun.

I've seen Steadicams with monitors that dont work go for more than this!

I'll be adding it to ebay around this weekend, and thought I'd open it up here first. I'm looking for a quick-ish sale.

I'll be happy to send pictures of the unit, answer questions and send pictures of the NTSC monitor... just drop me an email at: ilfteam@hotmail.com.

I just thought I'd add a Steadicam JR Lite from OpTex will cost you £399 +VAT and that has NO MONITOR at all!! I'd prefer a quick sale and to ship to UK - however, not everyone may see the deal as being as good as I see it. So if you've a keen interest, please do mail me.

Will be posting on ebay for quick sale this weekend.

Also... I've posted this on more than one forum so first come first served and would appreciate a direct email rather than a reply on the forum.

Thanks
James

Hi everyone,
I have a Sony PD150 up for sale, and I am posting it here hoping someone is out there in the market for this camera. It is literally "like new" in every way, the hours are as follows:

Operation 1x10H
Drum Run 0x10H
Tape Run 0x10H
Threading 1x10

It is in immaculate condition, and not really used for actual shooting, it was only used for testing and playing around with the functions when I first bought it. It only has a few VERY minor scratches on the rubber lens hood (literally just from sitting in its case). I purchased this camera for a project that has dissolved right in front of my eyes, I'm sure some of you can relate to that sort of frustration.

It comes with the following (a couple extras tossed in):

The PD150 Camera itself
ECM-NV1 Shotgun XLR Mic
Battery Charger/AC Adapter
Sony NP-F550 Battery
Sony Remote Control
Sony USB card reader w/ software
4MB Memory Card
Large and Small eyecups
Sony Shoulder Strap
AV Cables

EXTRAS:

VidPro Camera Bag
Canon UV Haze Filter (has been on camera since day 1)
Crystal Optics Circular Polarizing Filter

I have pictures posted here:

http://photos.yahoo.com/robsmo

Just click on PD150 Images. I took some shots of the whole package and camera, and please reference the picture showing the camera hours (sorry its a bit foggy, my digital camera stinks for close-ups like that).

LOWERED PRICE: I am asking $2700. Feel free to make an offer, but please don't low ball me too bad. Thanks for reading through this whole post, you can either post here or email me at robsmo@yahoo.com any questions you may have!

TRADES: I forgot! I'm always on the market for video equipment, so if you have something you'd like to trade let me know! I'm mainly looking for lighting equipment, or sound stuff. The only thing I'm not taking offers for are exchanges for other cameras.

Robbie

My original post was WAY too long, so I cut out a lot of the non-essential information. If you would like more inofrmation, my credentials, or have any questions, please email me at robsmo@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Hey again,
What did I do wrong here? I have over 50 views but no responses with any interest for buying, so I'm just wondering what the problem is. Am I doing something wrong? I'm not sure if its just that no one is in the market for this kind of cam, if the price is too high, or if its just because I'm new to these forums. I'd appreciate anyone's thought on this, I have dropped the price $100 as well. Thanks!

Robbie

WHoa! Relax there fella! Your ad hasn't been up for more than a day! Things take time to sell. 50 views isn't much. Remember also that most people on here already have a video camera, so you might not be looking at the hottest market. Many video cameras are up here weeks or months and don't sell at all. You may find a better market in your local classified newspaper. Ebay is the easiest place to sell fast, if you need to.

Robbie Smolinsky
August 15th, 2003, 09:40 AM
LOL! Yea, I guess you're right. I suppose not too many people would have a membership in a DV forum if they don't already have a DV camera!! I guess maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part that I could sell this quick here, as if it were Ebay (while not having to pay all of those insane fees!). So please pardon my impatience, and thank you for the perspective! I guess its more of a waiting game if I want to sell it outside of a market like Ebay. But, if anyone is interested, please don't hesitate to drop me a line!

I am heading off to S.E. Asia and China for 6-8 months. I am backpacking the whole trip, so my XL1s is a little cumbersome to pack up in to a back pack. If I was not in need of a smaller form factor I would by no means consider selling my cam. The optics on my 16x manual lens are astonishing, yet this new pursuit is just not fit for the ol' girl. Plus, I can get past permits for filming with a smaller form factor. That's about it, just need a smaller cam with comparable resolution.

Cheers,

How old is your XL1s? How many hours on the drum, approximately?

Dick Steele
August 20th, 2003, 09:12 AM
Bloom, I will be heading off to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Various provinces of China. I am starting in Hanoi.

Galinato, The cam has appproxiamately, and this would be a guess, no more than 50 hours and that is trying to be honest.
the cam is around two years old according to the serial, yet I purchased it new last December. It has never been transported around except by the pelican and has been used primarily on dollies and sticks, very little hand held or field use. I do not use the cam as my deck, and it has performed flawlessly since my purchase.

Cheers,

Hey guys,
I'm starting film school tomorrow, so I probably won't be needing any of my gear for the next couple of years. I haven't had time to sit down and really price everything out, but I've tried to put ballparks where I could and I'm open to offers. Everything is in "very good" to "like new" condition except where noted below...

Barring any interest here, I'll probably just start sticking things on ebay in a week or two...

(btw-I'd be open to trades as well... Since I've already sold my XL1 and sticks, I'm currently camera-less, and am in the market for a good 1-chip for personal use. It'd also help with the taxes ;-))

1) Samson UM1/UT1L/MT350 (U2) Wireless lav system
- All equipment is in excellent condition. (Note: There is a square piece of velcro on the back of the receiver that I used to attach it to my XL1. I would assume this could come off if it was not needed)
- Purchased early 2002 from B&H Photo for $320 + ship. I'm looking to get something in the low-to-mid $200's for this system.

2) Sony PVM-8044q 5" Field Monitor
- Includes 1 Sony NP-1A battery pack
- This is the precursor to the 8045q and has the same 450-lines of resolution
- Switchable 4:3 / 16:9 Aspect Ratio
- Supported Modes: Underscan, Blue Only, A/B and RGB/Y R-Y B-Y Switch, Line/RGB Switch, Sync Int/Ext Switch, H/V Delay
- Control Knobs: Aper, Bright, Chroma, Phase, Contr, Volume
- Purchased used in April 2003
- Price for this would be in the high $400 / low $500 range

3) Sony WV-DR5 DV/VHS Deck (probably will sell this, but not positive)
- This is a really awesome deck if you haven't seen it. It was only sold in Japan and has recently been discontinued, so they go for an arm and a leg now on ebay. I had a friend track one down for me in Hiroshima, and this was the only one he could find. Anyway, if you're looking for a DV deck, this was in my opinion the absolute best option available less expensive than the Sony DSR series. I've got some links somewhere to reviews I found online when I was looking if you're interested. Anyway...
- Dual-Deck - accepts miniDV and full size DV on one side, VHS on the other.
- Fully compatible with pretty much any edit system as far as I know.
- Only records to DV, but will read DV and DVCAM
- There are too many specs to go into, but if you're interested I'd be happy to chat about it.
- Purchased new in October/November of 2002
- Currently selling in the $1500 range if you can find them. I'd probably be looking for something in the $1000 or slightly over range...

4) Lowel light kit
- Almost brand new - just purchased April 2003 from Showcase in Atlanta, so I think it's still under warranty...
- Includes:
- 1 Omni-light w/ 500watt bulb and 4-way barndoors
- 1 Tota-light w/ 750watt bulb and frame
- 1 Pro-light w/ 250watt bulb and 4-way barndoors
- 3 Bogen/Manfrotto stands (much sturdier than the Uni's that were supposed to come with the kit)
- 2 Tota frames
- 2 Tota gel packs (include CTB, diffusion, ND, etc.)
- 1 Tota-brella (umbrella)
- Soft carry-case (LB-35) with dividers that holds everything pretty comfortably
- My cost was around $1100. I'd probably be looking to get $7-800 or so... I'd be open to offers.

5) Westcott Backdrop Stand and "Canberra" (Dark Grey) 10x12 Backdrop
- These were purchased from Wolf Camera's 14th Street location in Atlanta in April 2003
- Stand is sturdy black: includes 2 (9' or 10'?) stands (similar to light stands) and a 3-piece crossbar that extends to about 12'.
- Stand comes with a very hand carry-case with strap.
- Backdrop is a backdrop - not much else to say...
- Both are in perfect condition, only used about a half-dozen times.
- Both new are close to $300. Maybe looking for mid to high $100's...

6) Sony 13" Trinitron Edit Suite monitor
- This is pretty much just an older Sony TV. It's in good shape and looks nice, but doesn't have any special tuning capabilities.
- $50-$75

Holler back if you're interested in anything or have any other questions. I tried to include everything I could think of though...

I have a well cared for XL1s. It has the 16x Manual lens. I have all the original boxes and will provide a 1620 pelican case. I purchased the cam in pieces (body kit, lens) from a local broadcast equipment facility. It has been a truly super cam, never a drop-out, never eaten a tape, always beautiful quality. You may have noticed that I had posted for a trade, yet I have had no offers so the cam is for sale. Looking for around 3200.00 shipping included.

Also, I have a Peter Lisand tripod w/ a O'connor 50D head will sale reasonable. Recently serviced by O'connor w/ new cam plate.

If so, how much would you let it go for.

Hi,

I am about to buy a new camera but before I want to sell a NTSC VX2000 camera I bought in Japan.

The camera is fully operational and it includes a Wide Lens adapter and long life batteries.

I would like to get 1200$.

What do you think?

I purchased the cam in pieces (body kit, lens) from a local broadcast equipment facility. It has been a truly super cam, never a drop-out, never eaten a tape, always beautiful quality. I do not use the cam as a deck, so the hours on the heads are record time only; very little FF/REW. You may have noticed that I had posted for a trade, yet I have had no offers so the cam is for sale. Looking for around 3200.00 negotiable.

As of now I am not intersted in selling the lens by itself. If someone wishes to purchase the body then the lens can be sold.

Also, I have a Peter Lisand tripod (JR-A-74) w/ a O'connor 50D head will sale reasonable. Recently serviced by O'connor w/ new cam plate. Provides beautiful cinema movement; an often overlooked part of the "Filmlook".

This is a JVC model TM-22U portable field monitor. It powers off of AC/DC and the cords, charger and one battery are included. The battery holds about a 75% charge. The monitor includes a blue Porta Brace cover and removable hood. The hood really helps in bright light. I've also used this in my studio when I need a extra monitor. The TM-22U go on ebay for $250 without a case. This unit is in excellent condition, no scratches and the screen is perfect. I'm asking $150 plus shipping and insurance. I accept PayPal, Money Orders and Cashiers Checks.

This is a custom designed and machined bracket for supporting Canon EF lenses on the XL1. This bracket was made to my specifications and was machined and milled for use on the XL1. Black annodized aluminum. Anyone using EF lenses on the XL1 with EF XL adapter should be supporting the EF lens with an adapter similar to this. I'm asking $100 plus shipping and insurance. I accept PayPal, Money Orders and Cashiers Checks.
