My zoom and record controls located on the top handle do not work. I never tried them since i purhcased the camera new, but i am assuming there must be a setup somewhere in the setup menu? I cant find it in the owners manual?

Any suggestion for a shoulder mount rig to help keep the camera steady while doing footage with the GL2? Is there wven such a thing I got the idea when i saw a pic of a Panasonic Shoulder cam...

See pages 22 and 42 of the manual for details on where the controls appear on the menu systm.

Do any of the handle controls work for you?

When did you buy the camcorder?

Thanks... I got it... that lock under the handle was activated....

Any suggestions on a good mount suggestion to use from the shoulder?

Ah, as in the last sentence, on the bottom of page 35!

Sorry, but I have no specific suggestion for a shoulder mount for a GL2. Try search?

I use a DV MultiRigPro to mount the cam in a "shoulder-ish" position. I like it even better because from the slightly forward position I can adjust anything on the entire camera body, where as a shoulder mount means your eyes are level with teh camera and you cannot see the back (where menu & audio controls are)

Here is one option
Shoulder Brace - Mini DV Video Camera Shoulder Brace (http://www.studio1productions.com./dvbrace.htm)
I've never used it though.
