What other information are you after? On Windows, we have a program that can display format (PAL/NTSC), audio encoding (16-bit, 48k etc), camera settings (white balance, iris, shutter speed), aspect ratio, date/time/timecode etc. If interested, see my profile for a link.

For interlacing, the information is within the DV stream but typically is always set to interlaced even if the video is progressive. The frame rate isn't part of the DV spec since DV is officially 50 (PAL) or 59.94 (NTSC) fields per second and always 720x576 (PAL) or 720x480 (NTSC). A flag indicates the video system that determines the frame size and field rate. 24fps recordings are packaged at the specific DV field rates, employing pulldown.
