I thought I saw a post or two on this, whats the best way to get edited video back to the ex3, to feed out of a Sat truck? "print to tape" via firewire?

On a Mac you can use the latest version of the Transfer tool to simply export the file back to the camera or a card as an MP4 file by exporting (file: export: xdcam) from FCP.

I also thought Premiere CS4 could export MP4's

If you have an MP4 but no BPAV folder you can use clip browser to import the MP4 which will make a new BAV folder.
