I happened to buy 2 mint Neuman mikes without power supplies, originally boxed, for $10, in a garage sale. Anyone knows how much are they worth and what are they useful for? One model -- M9 appears to be omnidirectional, other, M7 cardioid, although they both look identical -- with a large wire mesh on each side. They have some kind of coaxial connectors. Does anyone knows anything about power supplies for these? Does anyone wants to trade good wireless/shotgun mikes for these?

Im not a mic expert but i know you got a deal on those mics! They are vintage right? The M9 is omni not sure about the M7 but I do know that these were the 2 main capsules manufactured by Neumann / Geffel and they take a crazy power supply called a NKM but im not positive on this. Definite studio vocal/instrument mic capsules hand made in Germany. Most vintage Neumann mics sell in the thousands!

Thanks Matt,

I thought they'd be worth something like $100 a piece. Thousands? Unbelievable! I once picked an old radio for $3 that was worth about $1,500. I had no clue, it just looked neat. And I just stumbled on all this by chance; I usually avoid garage sales as a plague.
