I'm wondering if it's possible to create a script to do batch encoding in Vegas. Batch encoding meaning if I have, say, an hour of footage I need broken up into 20 separate mpgs is there any other way than to manually render each section out manually. I wish there was a way to set it and forget it and let it do the work rather than having to set up the encoding for each and every mpg.

With your script I would have to remove the extraneous footage in between the clips? For example say I have a 5 minute clip and I want two mpgs from it. One starting at 1;00 and ending at, say, 2;20....and another starting at 3;10 and ending at 4;05. I would have to manually remove the footage before the first marker where I want the first render to start, the footage between the two clips, and the tail after the 2nd clip.

Lastly, how do you render Regions? I only saw the option to render loop region. I think this is how that product you mentioned works.

It appears Batch Render Pro will do what you want. Here's one of the listed features:

Render regions, optionally naming the rendered file from the region label.

Edward, maybe you should refine the script and add it as an update script to Tsunami.

Yes, this one is definitely a "rough" version. If I choose to add it to one of the big scripts, I'll definitely clean it up a bit.
