I have a Pioneer burner in a external firewire case, and I have used it to burn data dvd's with my Powerbook. If I get DVDSP2 will I be able to burn the DVD,s with this burner, or would it require Toast or something to do the burning, or will it just not work at all for DVD's? If I understand the spec sheet, it requires a Superdrive. I don't want to spend the money on DVDSP2 if I can't use it with this burner, because I made the mistake of not getting the superdrive (very dumb in retrospect).

From http://www.apple.com/dvdstudiopro/specs.html

System Requirements
* Macintosh computer with a 733 MHz or faster PowerPC processor (G4 minimum) and AGP graphics card
* 8MB of video memory (32MB recommended)
* Mac OS X v10.2.6
* QuickTime 6.3
* 256MB of RAM (512MB recommended)
* 20GB of available disk space
* DVD drive required for installation

No where does it say that a SuperDrive is required. It is my understanding that one is not required and that an external drive should work fine as long as your system meets the other requirements.

(My system has a Superdrive, so I haven't tried it with an external.)
