Hi!

I am having trouble getting my footage from FCP3 into Adobe after effects to make some color-grading...How shall I do it?? Is it possible??? How can I get it into that program??

Please help me...

Thank you very much....

Export your timeline as Quicktime DV. Then bring the Quicktime file into your AE project as footage.

I export as a final cut pro movie. Not self contained. that way it is not converting it or taking up extra disk drive space or losing quality AND is much faster too. Then when you are in AE just import it.

Exporting out of AE depends if you are using an Alpha channel (see thru bit) in the footage. As you want to keep the video as good as possible on its trip out of FCP and back into it.

If you're looking to spend some money check out Automatic Duck. It moves the whole project from FCP into AE, and back.
