The topic of slow-mo shooting showed up below (music videos) and I got to wondering how one would shoot at faster framerates to slow down in post.
Let's say I'm shooting pyrotechnics and inverted dust effects, and I want this thing to look BIG. At 30p, the action passed pretty quick. Slowing down in FCP looks really hokey and obvious.
Aside from getting a high priced HD cam that shoots at faster rates, is there a way to record to disk at a higher rate, or is this limited to the camera's internal frame rate?
I have a WinTV s-video capture card, that can "capture" up to 120 fps, but I'm worried this won't work right...
