View Full Version : Low light bad luck

Tommy found that his new Optura Xi requires about the same amount of LUX as his former PV-DV953, and also found the video quality not as good as the PV-DV953's quality. That's why I'd rather have a MX5000 (PV-DV953) today, than spend a year's salary on something that'll be obsolte tomorrow.

PS: for someone who has gone from a VX2000 to the PV-DV953, then to the PDX10 to the Optura Xi, and now waiting for a GS100, I feel his pain---or is it the jealousy boiling in my blood? :-)

You forgot the Sharp wondercam.

Tommy just likes to collect anything that's new and shinny, you know that. He is still on his first wife though :surprise.gif:

I seem to recall he also had a DVL9000 or DVL9500, and a TRV30, if I'm not mistaken. About the whiff, maybe he keeps a mistress with a nice pair of cheeks. :-)

Out of all those cams, I like the VX2000 and PV-DV953 best, but I own neither. If it ain't broke, why replace what you already have? Sure I would like to own a PV-DV953 or an ENGLISH menu'd GS100...until something better comes along. It isn't a matter of life and death, though.

I do wish cams can shoot in the dork

im with you frank, the vx200 is good but for the sale price of mine, i bought 2 mx500s and pretty much doubled my business.. :)
on top of that image quality is incredible and in low loght, well, i jsut use some cheap vitans with 20w globes and they work perfectly :)~

Beaser told me I would regret parting with the VX2000. Thats why I convinced work to buy one. It'll be alongside of me when I videotape my wife having our twins in 2004. Lets all hope that upgradism is not hereditary...

You'll need to upgrade and buy two sets of everything, like two cameras, two spare batteries, two mics, to video lights, etc. How else can you tandem shoot the twins and match the footage?!

Congrats on the twins, my second, a boy will come in March 2004.
