Does anyone know if there is or will be a Firestore or CapDiV from Laird Telemedia that will record 4:2:2 video streams? I'm looking for something more portable than a VTR or computer to record to.

So I don't see how it can record in any other format if it wants to support DV. Also, no DV camera will output 4:2:2. Or are you asking for professional camera support? Matt McEwen December 2nd, 2003, 05:26 PM Focus will be shipping the FireStore FS-2 early next year that does feature SDI in and out (as well as DV25, component, composite, Y/C, external TC, AES/EBU digital audio, analog balanced audio and reference video). However, all recordings to disk are based on DTE Technology DV25 (4:1:1 or 4:2:0). Check out more at http://www.firestore.com DV50 (4:2:2) support is on our list of future feature suggestions for FS-2. Matt McEwen Focus Enhancements |
