Does the new lens hood for the PD170/VX2100 use the same mounting system as the PD150/VX2000? I really like the idea of have the lens cap 'switch'.

I think the lens was the same, so probably it should work. Why
not go to a local camera store with your cam and see if it fits on
the new cam?

yeah... it's just that here in Canada my igloo is a days trip from the camera hut.

really though, I just though someone else might have tried it already.
