i'd always wondered what 1000 fps looked like, very cool! now i wonder what that would look like if one were to actually sprint with it as its name suggests haha.

That jello shot ruled. Can you imagine what these things will shoot once they figure out how to use them with football helmets, kite boards, boxing gloves, etc.,?

or better yet once the technology reaches the prosumer market? The possibilities would be endless! suddenly 120 fps doesn't seem that big anymore...

aren't cams like what's missing from the filmmaker's toolkit to fully replace film with digital bays?

The jello was pretty trippy, but personally I'm more fond of the cheerleader shots. More sample footage of them and these guys'll sell SprintCams by the ton.

Incidentally, if you're interested in this kind of footage, don't forget about the Discovery Channel's Time Warp (http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/time-warp/time-warp.html). They have an online video library (http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/time-warp/), if you can't catch the show on TV, including such gems as a hummingbird at five thousand frames per second (http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/time-warp-hummingbird-in-high-speed.html).

I like how they say "Get ready to analyze the throws of pitchers and quarterbacks in a whole new way", when they already use Phantom and other high speed video cameras to capture sporting events.
This camera looks cool, but nothing really new

Is there anything that doesn't look awesome at 1000fps?

Check out the show "Time Warp" on the Discovery channel for amazing depiction of waves in flesh:
