PAL news:

New 3-CCD models for 2004 are GS200 and GS120, both have 1/6" CCDs and lower video effective CCD pixels than the MX500.

The NV-GS400 will be replacing the MX500.

GS400 details should be out later this month.

I haven't heard about the GS100 coming to N.A. or PALSville.

Will it be black?

Don't know for sure, but I believe the PAL GS400 will be black. I should have specs, and maybe a pic, later this month. If the NTSC version will be black, Fred Garhart will be very happy.

Fred loved anything in black. I think his car was
black, can't recall for sure. I remember he said
he dressed in all black. And his girlfriend was
black.

Something like that. His over all theme was "if it's black, it's professional, if it's any other other color, it's not.

Perhaps he won't be so happy with the GS400 then?

I don't know. What could he possibly want with a black cam working in a lady's shoe store in the very cold city of Calgary? I'm sure his silver PV-DV953 is serving his needs just fine.

Remember when he went out drinking with his
buddies and he was shooting the bar patrons?
The barkeep told him he to put away his camera so
he put his cam under the table and kept shooting
and got all these girls' leg shots.
I'm sure he's working in Hollywood now,
seeing as he read the owners manual and that
made him a professional cinematographer.
"As easy as 1, 2, 3. All you have to do is read the
manual, the cam does the rest. All automatic."

I didn't remember, but now that you refreshed my memory...Fred should get a camera job with outfits making "The Real Cancun" type movies. :-))
