There can be a meriad of reasons for this. Premiere 6.5 isn't
the fastest kid on the block either. It would be nice if you had
posted some additional details like:

1) computer details (CPU, memory etc.)

2) operating system you are running

3) what resolution is the pictures from photoshop?

Do you still have the camera hooked up to the system when
doing all of this?

Keep in mind that both types need to be rendered. Especially
the titles. The photo needs only rendering when you have your
camera connected and use that for output. Depending on a lot
of things this definitely can't be realtime.

The real question is why do you care? If a photo or title is not
doing realtime it usually doesn't bother me personally. I'd much
rather have my captured footage run realtime if I had to choose.

Thanks Rob

P3 450 dual processor, 1 gb ram , 4x18 gb ultra wide SCSI2
Matrox Digisuite card...

no camera connected to the computer, I use sony gvd300 deck

yes, my footage is realtime , but neither the title nor the photoshop pics, does'nt matter the resolution.

My friend had a plugin that would make all the above , including footage , alayer of title and another layer of photoshop on top as all realtime in one time .....would'nt you want a plugin like that?

:)

I lost the guys number..........if I found his number ...I will let you know what it is called

:)
Thanks again Rob you are always a great help :)

I highly doubt a simple plugin will allow realtime operation in
Premiere. That would be a very popular plugin indeed!

I guess there simply is no way around your "issue". Perhaps
Premiere Pro will work better in realtime for you. Your computer
isn't that fast (even if it is a dual processor system). I'm not
sure if Premiere really takes advantage of two processors (in
this case).

If you upgrade to a new 2.4 or 3 GHz machine it will probably
go a lot smoother.

Is Premiere by any chance outputting its preview through the
Digisuite card? In other words, are you running an MJPEG project?
If so the problem is probably in the realtime MJPEG encoding to
facilitate the output through the card!!

THANKS ROB

Yes premiere does output preview thro the card and I had that plugin before.....stupid me I formatted my computer and I lost it ...........but yes it is there ...I just have to get it from my friend again......everything else is realtime on my comp....

yes I do MJPEG component /svhs and it has always been realtime...and I could do three layers realtime with that plugin if I ever get it again.......I will try digisuite website ...maybe I got the plugin from there ...when I am thinking I got it from my friend...hmmm

thanks Rob
