Anyone know which is better?


I found a comprehensive review that gave the 4000 a very subpar write up, while I've heard brief reviews that the 700 is excellent. Any of you know?

I have 2 days to find a good camera to get and my brother cant seem to find a Panasonic NVGS120 in Manchester.

Perhaps you should decide if you want a 1-chip cam or a 3-chip cam.

you would have seen that this cam was only released in Japan on March 5, 2004; and consumer cams are usually released in Japan first, and sometimes only released for the Japanese market and nowhere else.

It was listed on the Panasonic US and UK website so I was sure it was, I take it the 200 isn't out yet either? I was interested in those because of the cheap 3 CCD.

Thing is, I'm by no means a professional, I'm still a high-school student and this camera will be for making some amatuer moves and quarter-pro freelance work.

Yes, the 200 was also just released in Japan March 5th.

The TRV38 is a good 1-chip cam for the money. It even has good widescreen.

Is the TRV38 listed under a different model name in Europe, because I can't find it on the Sony.co.uk website. Is the PCC30 as good as it says it is for a Single CCD, or is the 3Megapixels thing a gimmick?

Do you have an idea of when the Panasonic will be available in the UK?

Probably soon, within a month or 2. As for the GS400, there isn't even any GS400 stock yet, or so I am told by Pana.

Pana has a dealer product shows in the different areas, and it's usually not until after this the new cams become available.
