Hi,

I've got some SI-2K footage, both AVI and MOV on a mac. Recorded to Cineform and i can play it back fine. But when I take it into Firstlight (im used a trial version as this is footage from someones elses camera) i cannot do anything to the colours with the sliders. They are all greyed out. I can change the .look files (although there is a limited amount, how do you add to these?) and the other couple of drop down boxes at the bottom, but not anything else.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Mark

Same problem here.
Neo 4K on mac, shot on SI-2K - can import mov into First Light but can't import avi
can change .look files (Mark - double click on any .look files you have and they will load into first light)
None of the sliders will move & colour, gamma etc won't change

thanks
Rohan

Check the status of your license using the Authenticator. The early versions of Firstlight did not automatically activate the trial. You can manually activate using the Authenticate/Activate tab and "Trial" button in the Authenticator.

Firstlight will also disable all the sliders when your trial expires.

Hi Craig,

Tried this but made no difference.
Have just activated the license and the sliders now work but still unable to import AVIs that were shot with SI2K (or DVCam)

going off to play with my quicktimes

cheers

Rohan and Mark, AVIs now work on Mac including First Light adjustments. The build is not yet posted - probably Thursday.

Hi,

thanks for the update. Ive uninstalled the trial a few times, and it doesnt seem to activate as a trial anymore. If i download the latest build, should it still work as a trial?

Cheers

The trial uploaded yesterday fixed a lot of little problems, so we refreshed the trial. The trick with the trials is to save the old ticket before you install the new version.
