View Full Version : Tweaking the HM700

I haven't had my HM700 very long, and though overall I like the camera, I am curious about tweaking the settings.

It seems to me that straight out of the box, the video detail is excellent, but the color seems a little cold compared to some recent digibeta footage that I shot.

I see that you can create something called a "Picture" file, and I am wondering if anyone who has a real eye for this type of color correction has posted some of these files for general use. I realize that each shooting situation is different, but I thought someone might have created a good baseline file to work from.

Also I see that there have been some posts about low light issues with the HM700. I saw some low light footage taken with the HM100 that was actually quite good. I can't imagine that the HM700 couldn't do as well with some setting changes.

I thought that maybe someone might have been able to once again tweak the camera to get some decent low light results and then possibly jotted down their findings/ settings, or possibly created a picture file for future use.

I know that lighting varies greatly from shoot to shoot, but it's nice to have a decent baseline to start from.

Thanks,

You might want to keep an eye on a thread where this topic has been brought up already:

Saw that after the fact. Sorry.

Has there been any actual "picture" files posted? I didn't see any in the thread, but I could have missed them.

Thanks,
