In Vegas You can do a lot of adjustments through "Video Events FX". I've tried to understand how to darken only highligts as you can do with pictures in a photo editing program.

Is it possible to darken only the highligts and nothing else in Vegas?

Try Color Correction, Secondary Color Correction and Color Curves in combinations. I think you'll find with some experimentation and practice you'll find the combination that works for you.

Thanks for the answers. I'll try these advises to see if I'm getting darker highlights and lightening the shadows in some of my clips.

Hi Leif, the "Photoshop" way of darkening just highlights would be with the Sony Color Curves effect. Just double click on the top right point and drag it down. To me the easiest way might be to go into the levels effect and drag the Output end slider to the left. But, just like in Photoshop, having a good understanding of the curves function can really be useful in color grading and correcting.
