I have sold on my copy of Vegas each time I have upgraded, and transferred the license to the buyer. I have upgraded to 9 and am in the process of selling on 8.

I cannot find any mention of license transfers on the Sony website now and I have written to them twice without getting a reply. The first time I used their customer support form on the website, and yesterday I emailed them using the address from when I transferred the license of v7.

Does anyone have any inside info regarding how to contact them on this matter?

Just call Customer Service and they should be able to handle it right there.

Thanks Edward. It used to be on the website. I've done it twice online already and it was simple. Why has Sony apparently removed that method of doing it for those International? It was there, why not leave it there?

Grrrrr.... I have sold my v8 pro and have just tried as suggested to call Sony Customer Service (first) then Reception (second) on the numbers provided on the website.

At Customer Service, I had 8 options and none of them seemed to have anything to do with transfer of licence. I had to choose one that sounded something like it (had to listen right through twice to be able to pick one!!!) but ended up in a black hole.

So I tried Reception. Once again, nothing sounded vaguely like licence transfer and again ended up in a black hole!!! Two phone calls from NZ down the drain.

Edward, how do I get to speak at a real person at Customer support?

I've never called Customer Service :-)

Make sure you call customer SERVICE, not customer SUPPORT.

Generally speaking, I try pressing "0" to try and get ahold of a person.

'0' didn't work :-) so I hit another number - can't remember which - 2 or 3 and got a real person who fixed it up...

Thanks...

If the phone system is one of these voice recognition gadgets like Fed Ex, I usually just say something like F--- Y-- three times and without fail I get transferred to a real person.

The license transfer is still there just like it has always been.
You go to My Support and then click on "ask a question".
Under Category you click on the first selection which is "Activation". When you do that another box will pop up and you select "License Transfers". I have used it three times and it has worked every time.
