Jeff Kellam June 15th, 2009, 09:18 AM SDHC cards seem to be pretty tough and durable. So far, I have not had any issues or lost any data in any SDHC device including the HMC-150. I have been using the same 8GB SDHC card for almost all my short event shoots since October 2008 with no problem (even though I have at least 10 or more cards). I would use common sense for handling and storage. I would think shelf life is many years in a cool low humidity environment. I just don't know about long term data storage. Randy Johnson June 16th, 2009, 04:06 PM cool thanks. I do about 30 weddings a year I think I will replace them about 4 times a year. I have a 16gig coming in today and when the 32s come down i'll buy a couple of them. Andy B. Turner June 16th, 2009, 04:16 PM why would you replace the cards? From the specs I have read, I would think my camera will be replaced before I will need to replace the cards. I think it said something like 10,000 insertions, 10 years of data retention, etc. Maybe I was reading what you said wrong? Randy Johnson June 16th, 2009, 07:14 PM oh nice I didnt think they were that bullet proof. |
