Hi. I shoot with a Sony EX1 and use Vegas 9. However I've been asked to operate for a student type short and their editor is using FCExp 4. Is there any way to simply/cheaply/freely convert the mxf from the Sony clip browser to something FCExp can use (without loss) or would I have to render out from Vegas every shot? I have both Mac & PC.

Depends- not a simple answer sorry. If you are shooting 24p for example FCE is totally out of the question. Otherwise you could try something like DV or HDV. Really FCE is totally unsuitable for cutting XDCAM EX. They need to get Final Cut Pro.
