Bob nice shots.

If you were going there with only a stills camera what focal length lens would you suggest.

A friend of mine will be going in August

Bob, on the Galapagos most of the still photographers that were with my group used either 100 - 400 mm or straight 400 mm. At Machu Picchu you really need a wide angle.

Thanks Bob I had noticed that earlier, were you given any idea what the cost would be or just "it is expensive"

Bob, sorry, I have been on the road. I was told $400.00. That is a lot of money. However, it is a wonderful place. If your friend is taking a still, I suggest he have a wide angle and take the 400 in a back pack. Just watch for the guards and don't be to obvious. Best of luck to him.

Great Galapagos video, Bob. Nice, crisp sound, too.

The compression quality is very good.

Would you mind telling me what you compressed from and to for posting on the web?

TIA
