Hi,
I'm filming a web video for a friend who owns a garden centre. I only have the standard 20x lens and it's a little cramped because it's only a small centre so I'm having to pan quite a lot. I'm filming in 50i pal with a speed of 50 and various apertures. The problem is that when I view the footage in FCP I'm getting a lot of motion blur on my pans even though the pans are nice and slow. Any thoughts ?.
Thank you in advance.

If you're panning while on a tripod, check to be sure you have turned off the stabilizer. Some of the blur might be the result of the stabilizer attempting to correct against motion during your pans.

Thanks for your reply Jon,
Most of the pans were on a tripod with the IS off, some of the pans were hand held with IS on, would it be better to try the hand held with IS off?. Also, some of the shots were pretty close to the flowers so I suppose the closer you are the more motion blur?.
