This topic cuts across many subforums here, but is there any way to import fcp projects (and to be able to manipulate all segments and clips in those projects) into Premiere OR After Effects?

You can import FCP into Premiere CS4 as an XML, read about it here: Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 * Importing XML project files from Final Cut Pro (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/PremierePro/4.0/WSb4dbfa10359e7d701172e0811d0d1b59f7-8000.html) There is also a plugin from Automatic Duck (pricey) that imports into AE and can handoff to APP : The Genesis Project: Final Cut and Premiere Pro together (http://blogs.adobe.com/genesisproject/2008/03/final_cut_and_premiere_pro_tog.html) The XML file is a plain-text description of the project, not all the clips and bits and pieces, so all this needs to be on the same computer so the files can be located by Premiere. I do not know how/if you can transfer all this from one computer to another, perhaps someone can advise on this.
