A question for the experts here please. I need to send a video signal from my portable DVD player to a projector that will be anywhere from 50'-100' away. Will there be any resolution/signal loss if I use the standard male/male RCA cable for this?

If possible you would be better off using S video but a 50-100 footer is COSTLY!
It is a coin toss IMO about that distance with RCA's. 50 ft OK 100, iffy

The 'standard' RCA cable will very likely be a loser for this.

You need good 75 ohm coax with 'real' 75 ohm RCA connectors on it.

A good place to get either a coax or S-Video paired coax, built to your specifications is Markertek. They build cables very reasonably.

I'd spec Canare RCA connectors on Canare cable for Composite video. Otherwise, they can also build you an S-Video cable.

I've built a 75 foot S-Video cable from their material. It works very well.
