I thought I would join the conversation and say hello from Orlando. Here at Skystorm Productions we're a video production company producing everything from TV commercials, corporate videos, training videos, live events and infomercial production. Lately, we're doing a lot of viral video for brands wanting content for their YouTube channel. Anyone else out there finding that your clients are requesting this kind of work and how are you responding to it?

Hey John,
I'm up here in Gainesville at the CBS/MNT/NBC affiliated station. I noticed that a lot with clients. They always ask, "Can I put that on my facebook?" Half the TV commercials I shoot end up on their websites, too. I'm considering moving to Orlando in the next year or so. How's that area, as far as living there, amount of work, etc?

I worked at WESH about 9 or 10 years ago--really dug the Orlando production scene, but I heard it has slowed down in the last couple of years. Heck, what hasn't--South Florida has been struggling.

Hey Matt,

Yes Orlando, does have a good flow of video production. We have been doing this since 1998 so we see a lot of repeat clients. We have a good mix of Hi-End Corporate Video Production, and then a good amount of Live Event Video Production. Living wise, markets are down right now...so housing is a good buy!

Hey Heath,

Good to hear from you! Yep back when you were here, Orlando thought it was going to be the next Hollywood! C3 Closed and that kind of killed the dreams. But still a lot of good things going here. We are now seeing a lot of big Corporate Clients moving in, so our Sales Video Promotions has seen a good increase this year!

Yeah a lot of corporations from around the country, particularly New York and California, seem to be moving their operations to Florida. Great to hear you guys are busy up there!
