Anyone having any luck doing log and transfer with the new Final Cut Pro? the Sony plugin no longer seems to load.

I was just about to load 7.0... but now you've got me thinking.
Maybe Sony hasn't had a chance to update the plug in in response to this latest release.

Anxious to hear from others.
Let us know if you have some success.

Really ticks me off that Apple cannot make log and transfer work with more file formats. How long has .m2t been around? Quite a while. Anxious for any other reports.

Not working for me either.

Terry I found the updated sony plugin and have the link at the top of this page. How do you like the new version of FCP so far? I really can't see all that many changes. One thing I have noticed is very much improved slow motion even all the way down to 30%.

Any updates?

Can someone confirm that FCP 7 can log & transfer m2t w/ the Sony plugin?

While we're on the subject I am disappointed w/ FCS3. Native m2t support was on the top of my wish list for FCS3, followed by better AVCHD workflow & DVD Studio Pro & Blu-Ray.

I guess we can hope that Apple might at least release some log & transfer updates down the road, but I really think if Apple wants keep their market share they really have to make FCP handle every pro & consumer tapeless format seamlessly. I don't know, maybe Apple is trying to destroy themselves, I started getting that hint when they took off FW400 from all their laptops.

Yes Zach I am using Fcp 7 and log and transfer works fine with the Sony plugin. Make sure you have the latest plugin on the sony page. Yes I agree that FCP 7 is a disappointment.
