Hi there
I'm relatively new to the whole DV scene and my knowledge of it is still sparse. I'm about to be involved in several film projects using High Def. cameras, so i've decided its about time that i read up and got technical about the subject. Could any of you guys recommend some sites that will give me a thorough explanation of the technology, how it works, definitions etc. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated
thankyou Henry

A lot of questions, ofcourse, have already been answered on
this forum. So a search on certain keywords should result in
quite a few answers. Otherwise you can always ask as well!

But one of the most complete (and technical) resource must
be Adam Wilt's DV site (http://www.adamwilt.com/DV.html)

Oh, and welcome aboard Henry!

Will you use DV, HDV, DigiBeta, DVCPRO HD, HDCAM or other system? There are huge differences between those, so if you can, specify which format you will use. I found some info about HD production in BBC "white papers" - try there for start. They explained differences between 16mm and HD shooting, colour settings, exposition settings, HD camera setup etc.
