Does anyone know if Panasonic still makes the DVM83-ME. Tape dealers online don't seem to carry this spec tape. If this tape is out of production, can you recommend equivalent?

Most folks using Panasonic tapes are going with either the PQ or MQ series. I use only DVM63MQ in my XL1S and have had good results. Check www.pro-tape.com, one of the sponsors of this site for availability and prices.

Don't know about the ME series but the 83 minute MQ tapes work well. We use both the 63MQ and the 83MQ tapes depending on the length of the event.
