I haven't seen any remarks here about the JVC HR-DVS3, a combo DV/S-VHS deck. This is apparently the least expensive DV VCR available. I needed another S-VHS deck to do my daily TV recording, so I figured I'd give this model a try. If anyone has used one, can I expect good results when playing back DV tapes on Sony stock, recorded in a VX2100?
Will the Sony brand tapes conflict with the JVC VCR? Has the intermittent dropout problem with JVC DV recorders affected this model? Has it been resolved if this was really a compatibility problem with computer connections or not? Am I likely going to have to buy a Sony DV VCR, to get acceptable playback results from my VX2100 recordings?
