now if they only hadn't bumped the pixels up to 1070k we might have actually seen a low light improvement. Stupid consumer demand for a all-in-one gadget...stupid consumers.

1070K is total. 990K used for stills. 690K for effective video, same as 953.
With larger CCD and 3D Noise Reduction like GS120/200, I actually expect a slightly better low-light performance than 953.

larger chips, so I'm sure you can expect somewhat better low light performance than the DV953 as Oliver stated. One would only hope that they made some improvement but it does seem logical. Well time (as always) will tell and at least this is some evidence of what is to come.
