Curses! My GL-1 has a dead pixel and its no longer under warranty. Other than sending it to Canon for an overhaul, is there another way to fix this problem? In five years of shooting DV, this is my first dead pixel.

Sorry Chris, but this calls for a trip to Jamesburg NJ. Canon Service can most likely mask out that pixel but you must send it in. They'll give you an estimate once they look at it. Let me know what they're charging, okay?
