Can anyone recommend the best FCP keyboard and mouse setup? I wanna work faster with FCP and I've heard the color coded keys and jog mouse help out a lot.

I've heard of the stickers but I don't want to go that route, I don't have the patients to put those on.

Take a look at the "Logic" keyboards whose keys are imprinted for FCP. These are essentially Apple keyboards that have had their key caps exchanged. Alternatively, the same company sells the color coded and labeled keys separately that can be self installed.
But, if you really desire a speedier method for operating FCP, take a look at the Euphonix MC Control. It will eliminate the majority of keystrokes required to run FCP.

Rather than buy an entirely new keyboard with shortcuts for just one application get a cover for your default board instead:

They make covers for every major application on the planet and for multiple style Mac keyboards both standalone and laptop. The added benefit is that you're also protecting the keyboard from debris, spills and finger dirt.

The soft plastic covers are the best way to go. They are easy and can be changed for different applications. I have one of these from zCovers who seem to have morphed into KBCovers. The improvement I see is that the FCP covers are now black plastic which is a lot better than the clear plastic that gets terribly dirty over time and doesn't clean so easily.

... and not forgetting that these covers also help keep the dirt, crumbs and coffee spills out of your keyboard!
