Hi.
Burn to DVD a 16:9 dv file that looks like the widescreen mode with those black bars on top and bottom on normal tv's... How do I do it?

When I try, the image size is fixed to the regular tv...I don't want that. Using the fake letterbox is not an option...client want it for future better display.

I'm using Canopus Procoder, Edius 2.5

Thanks

Alexis

First: I've moved your thread to the correct forum.

Please see two threads in which I wrote an explenation on this works:

What you need to do is make sure that your MPEG2 encoder
(ProCoder in this case) knows the output MPEG2 file is in 16:9
anamorphic widescreen.

I'm not sure what you are using for DVD authoring, but it is
important you tell the program that your video is in the widescreen
format as well so it can correctly author the DVD.

Then the DVD player will take care of the rest (see my posts
in the two threads above for futher information).
